BearCom is now Motorola Solutions largest two-way radio dealer and integrator in the world and serves a multitude of customers in all types of industries, commercial enterprises and the public sector. Founded in 1981, at that time the business focus was to provide Motorola two-way radios (walkie-talkies) for rentals. The company had initial success regionally, and made a broader impact in 1990 supplying rental radios to the Goodwill Games, and later to other major events including World Cup Soccer in 1994 and the Olympic Games in 1996. The company expanded into sales and grew rapidly by acquiring more than a dozen independent wireless equipment dealers and a substantial portion of the Motorola Products Group.
