MOTOTRBO InHandJanuary 18, 2017 Dallas, TXMotorola Solutions announced that the legacy models (non-eSeries) of MOTOTRBO digital two-way radios are being cancelled. Orders will no longer be accepted after February 28, 2017, or while supplies last, and the last ship date will be March 31, 2017. BearCom and Motorola will continue to support the legacy series with service and accessories, however customers considering purchasing additional legacy MOTOTRBO radios must act soon. The legacy series is migrating to the MOTOTRBO eSeries introduced last year. eSeries radios have the same form factor and basic features of their similarly named predecessors, with the addition of some major enhancements including:
  • Integrated Wi-Fi
  • Better battery life, up to 29 hours
  • Bluetooth 4.0 and indoor location tracking
  • Better range and improved expandability, as well as added memory
  • Optional Man Down feature
  • HazLoc (formerly called “Intrinsically Safe”) models available for XPR eSeries radios

Migrating to Motorola eSeries radios -- Generous trade-in offers available! Motorola is offering the following trade-in incentives NOW through March 31, 2017: 

When purchasing 10 radios and trading in 10 eligible units, customers can save $1,200 ($120 per radio) on the XPR 7000e or SL 7000e and $350 ($35 per radio) on the XPR 3000e. In addition to portable MOTOTRBOs, mobile XPR 5000 series radios will also be migrating to the eSeries.
