- What's the difference between the R5 with display or non-display?
The MOTOTRBO R5 comes in two versions—Display and Non-Display—to suit different team roles. The Display model features a monochrome screen, front-facing programmable buttons, and a limited keypad for easy navigation and added functionality. It supports up to 256 channels and includes a continuously rotating top channel knob for seamless access. In contrast, the Non-Display version offers a simplified interface with 64 channels and a traditional 16-position channel selector, ideal for frontline users. Managers or supervisors who need more control and visibility typically prefer the Display model.
