Key Video Technologies Deployed:

AI and Analytics

We utilized Avigilon cameras equipped with advanced AI and analytics. These systems provided enhanced situational awareness by automatically detecting and flagging unusual activities, which allowed security personnel to respond proactively.

Occupancy Counting

To manage crowd flow and ensure compliance with safety protocols, certain cameras were configured for occupancy counting in key areas. This feature provided real-time data on crowd density, enabling event staff to direct attendees and prevent congestion.

License Plate Recognition (LPR)

Motorola LPR cameras were installed at access points to monitor and log vehicle entry and exit. This technology is essential for securing perimeters and managing traffic flow efficiently.

Remote Monitoring:

Our team provided remote monitoring of all cameras, feeding live video directly to public safety command centers. This gave security teams an additional layer of awareness and a comprehensive view of the entire venue.

Mission-Critical Communications for Flawless Coordination

Effective communication across dozens of teams and operational functions is the backbone of any major event. BearCom provided and supported a massive network of over 1,400 Motorola R7 two-way radios, ensuring clear, reliable, and instant communication for every group involved.

The scale of the radio operation was substantial. Our involvement began in early May, nearly five months before the event, with the delivery of a pre-event system cabinet with hundreds of Motorola R7 radios. This initial deployment supported early setup activities and laid the groundwork for the full-scale system. Our radio equipment will ultimately be in use for a total of seven months, covering the entire event lifecycle from setup to teardown.

The radio network supported the PGA of America and approximately a dozen other essential entities, including:

  • Team USA and Team Europe
  • ShotLink scoring system operators
  • Security, medical, facility, and operations personnel
  • Volunteers and merchandise staff
  • Referees and rules officials
  • All vendors, hospitality, and Food & beverage services
  • Press and photography crews

Extend your coverage

To support this extensive user base, BearCom deployed a powerful and resilient network infrastructure. This included our event base trailer housing MOTOTRBO Linked Capacity Plus (LCP) systems. These systems were connected to multiple remote sites, which utilized additional MOTOTRBO cabinets, each containing numerous MOTOTRBO repeaters. This dependable, multi-site architecture guaranteed complete coverage across the entire golf course and associated facilities.
