Customers of A&R Radio Rentals in Winter Garden Now Can Take Advantage of BearCom’s National Scope and Massive Rental Inventory

August 26, 2013: Dallas, TX—BearCom, a nationwide provider of wireless communications equipment and solutions, today announced its acquisition of an Orlando-area company that further strengthens BearCom’s presence in Central Florida and its dominant position in two-way radio rentals. “In A&R Radio Rentals, we have acquired a strong local and regional provider that is servicing some clients on a nationwide basis,” said BearCom Executive Vice President Brent Bisnar, who directs the company’s rental operations. A&R, located in Winter Garden, Florida, focuses on two-way radio rentals to large conventions, sporting events, tour groups, transportation companies, and production companies working on films, television shows, and commercials. Its radio inventory consists entirely of products from Motorola Solutions, which is BearCom’s largest supplier. “Their business is complementary to ours,” Bisnar said of A&R. “The timing was right for them, and it was a nice fit for us.” Bisnar said A&R Founder Alice Lombardi will continue to manage her customers, and they can expect a seamless transition to BearCom. BearCom already has a branch in Orlando and serves South Florida from a location in Ft. Lauderdale. The company operates 26 branches across the country and remains the only nationwide dealer and integrator of wireless communications equipment. “Our branch network truly sets BearCom apart,” Bisnar said. “We are the only supplier with nationwide points of presence. That gives us the ability to service customers wherever they happen to be. Another difference with BearCom is inventory size—we have nearly 20,000 serialized items. A third is our product diversity with digital and analog radios, push-to-talk phones, and other wireless solutions. Finally, we offer a much higher level of customer support.” Two-way radio rentals have long been a focus for BearCom, which was quick to recognize the scenarios in which renting equipment can be a better option than purchasing it. “Many of our customers have a need to use equipment for a short term—anything from a one-day event or a week-long convention to an industrial project lasting months. Often, it’s more cost-effective for them to rent rather than buy quality equipment that meets their needs,” said Bisnar. “Other customers have longer-term needs but may not have the capital resources available to make the acquisition, so an affordable monthly rental price that can be charged as an expense is more attractive to them.” “And with rentals, you always get the latest technology,” Bisnar added. “As quickly as technology changes these days, that’s an important consideration.”
