July 1, 2014: Dallas, TX — BearCom, a nationwide provider of wireless communications equipment and solutions, today announced the acquisition of Independence Communications, Inc., a respected wireless solutions dealer serving customers in the Cleveland area, the state of Kentucky, and beyond.

Independence Communications was founded in 1993 and provides two-way radios and other wireless solutions to hundreds of customers in commercial enterprises as well as public safety, education and healthcare organizations. Current customers include PepsiCo, Nestle USA, the Cleveland Browns, Quicken Loans Arena, the University of Kentucky, Kentucky State Police, Kentucky Derby, Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, Summa Health System, and Waste Management, as well as Cleveland Police, Fire, and EMS.
