August 13, 2015, Dallas, TX - BearCom is pleased to announce the BearCom Scholars program winners for the academic year of 2015-2016. The program recognizes deserving employees’ children who demonstrate scholastic ability, character, diversity and plan to continue their education in college or vocational school programs. The 2015-2016 academic year scholarship program was announced in May by Jerry Denham, President & CEO, and Brent Bisnar, Executive Vice-President. “We congratulate all the students and families that participated,” said Denham. “When we began this program earlier this year, we wanted to express our gratitude and appreciation back to employees for their tremendous contributions to the success of our company. There were 14 applicants in the first-year of the BearCom Scholars program… hopefully it will help offset some of the rising costs of higher education.” The 2015-2016 BearCom Scholars winners are:   Mycah Butler, her father Mike works for BearCom in Dallas. Mycah is studying Kinesiology at Texas A&M University.butler   Clarissa Mendez, her mother Socorro works for BearCom in Denver. Clarissa is studying Psychology at Regis University.mendez Logan Nixon, his father Ken works for BearCom in Dallas. Logan is studying Industrial Distribution at Texas A&M University.nixon   Shelby Fletcher, her mother Donna works for BearCom in Dallas. Shelby is studying Sports Management at University of Texas-Austin. .fletcher3       The BearCom Scholars program is available to all full-time employees with three years or more tenure with dependent children who are high school seniors, current college/university students, vocational students or graduate school students 25 years or younger seeking full-time education. The BearCom Scholars program will be open for applications in mid-April 2016, awards are granted on an annual basis. BearCom Scholars do not renew each year, but employees/students can apply each year for consideration.
